Access Directions to Kobe University (Fukae Campus)
By Train
When using Hanshin Electric Railway:
- From Osaka:
- Take the Limited Express or Direct Limited Express train bound for Kobe/Sannomiya.
- Transfer to a Local train at Nishinomiya Station.
- Get off at Fukae Station (approx. 22 min total travel time).
- The campus is a 5-minute walk from the station.
- From Sannomiya:
- Take the Limited Express or Direct Limited Express train bound for Osaka/Umeda.
- Transfer to a Local train at Mikage Station.
- Get off at Fukae Station (approx. 17 min total travel time).
- The campus is a 5-minute walk from the station.
When using JR trains:
- From Osaka:
- Take the New Rapid train (Shinkaisoku) bound for Kobe/Himeji.
- Transfer to a Local train at Ashiya Station.
- Get off at Konan-Yamate Station (approx. 14 min total travel time).
- Walk for 20 minutes to the campus.
- Alternatively: Take Kobe City Bus routes 30 or 37 from the station and get off at the Hanshin Fukae bus stop (Note: Limited daytime service).
- From Sannomiya:
- Take a Local train bound for Osaka/Kyoto.
- Get off at Konan-Yamate Station (approx. 12 min total travel time).
- Walk for 20 minutes to the campus.
- Alternatively: Take Kobe City Bus routes 30 or 37 and get off at the Hanshin Fukae bus stop (Note: Limited daytime service).
- Alternative Routes:
- Via Ashiya(from Osaka/Sannomiya): Take a New Rapid or Rapid train to Ashiya Station (approx. 7-10 min). A taxi from the station exit will take 7-10 minutes.
- Via Settsu-Motoyama(from Osaka/Sannomiya): Take a Local train to Settsu-Motoyama Station (approx. 10-16 min). From the “JR Motoyama Ekimae” bus stop, take Kobe City Bus Route 43 and get off at “Kobe University Faculty of Maritime Science” bus stop.
By Car
- From the Osaka direction:
The campus is located on the left side when traveling along National Route 43. Please be mindful of bicycle traffic when entering the campus grounds. - From the Kobe/Sannomiyadirection:
The campus will be on your right while traveling on National Route 43 toward Osaka. You will need to make a U-turn at an appropriate intersection to access the campus entrance.
